Mrs Shanthi Antony has been acknowledged as an exemplary teacher, one highly qualified with a breadth of teaching experience at Primary, Secondary and Tertiary institutions .
With a proven record of developing innovative educational programs, Mrs Shanthi’s special area of expertise is in designing new initiatives to support students from diverse ethnic cultural backgrounds.
Mrs. Shanthi has strong links with the Victorian educational organisations and has forged many collaborated partnerships with universities, educational boards and local city council.
Some of Mrs Shanthi’s achievements include:
- Leadership for Learning: Exemplary Teacher and Leader of Practice Award from Victoria University, Melbourne Australia
- In Senior Leadership role, coordinated the National Partnerships Program at a school level and developed numerous curriculum initiatives
- Acknowledged by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority for contribution to a desk audit of the Australian Curriculum
- Established whole school special education programs facilitating improved student learning outcomes
- Commended for organising pre-service teacher experience programs and for role as mentor to beginning teachers and colleagues

As the Head of Teaching and Learning at EPIC, Mrs Shanthi coordinated many new programs which made a significant impact on the teaching and learning at EPIC. National Partnerships Program Coordination, Implementation of the Australian Curriculum, Special Education/ Support Services, Out of School Hours Learning Support Program, Volunteer Program, Pre- Prep Program, Pre-service Teacher Programs are some worth to mention as her great contribution to EPIC.
